Cube Net
Study a 3D cube and pick the 2D net that folds into that exact cube.
How to play
A 3D cube with a distinct pattern or color on each face is shown. Mentally unfold it and pick the 2D net (flattened cube layout) that, when folded, produces that exact cube.
- Track which faces are adjacent to which on the 3D cube before checking the nets.
- Watch for nets that look plausible but have a face rotated or in the wrong position.
- Choose your difficulty before starting — higher difficulty introduces trickier decoy nets.
Why this matters
Folding a 2D net into a 3D solid in your head is a classic paper-folding/surface-development task from the spatial-visualization literature underlying tests like the Stanford–Binet's Visual-Spatial factor — it stresses tracking multiple faces' orientation simultaneously, the hardest form of spatial manipulation.
